Queen Treat Bundles like your natural hair
Lavish Queen Collection is 100% Virgin Hair.
No added harsh products, dyes, or chemicals have been added to hair. Upon Installation you have the choice to cleanse your new bundles at your discretion. If so, boil bundles for a few moments, or rinse with hot water, then use a moisturizing conditioner. Make sure to work the conditioner all the way through and rinse with cool water to close cuticles. Let sit for 10-15 minutes before rinsing using cool/cold water.
If you choose to shampoo them, use a moisturizing shampoo (Dove or Baby Shampoo, or any sulfate free shampoo is good).
Blot Dry with a towel, comb through and let air dry on hanger or place on low heat in a hooded dryer.
Air Drying hair helps controls frizz and less heat damage.
If your extensions are sewed in, you can wash them along with your natural hair. Be gentle though, so that you do not loosen your tracks. If you are too rough with them, they will not last as long and can cause shedding. If weft is cut during install that can cause shedding as well. Do not wash your hair to soon.
(Some people wash their installs quickly due to itching, if this is the case try using an anti-itch oil in a squeeze bottle, putting it directly on your scalp in between tracks to avoid getting heavy oil on bundles. If you have severe dry scalp or dermatitis seek medical attention first, advice stylist before install so they can properly treat scalp to avoid any itching discomfort or flaking in a short period of time).
1. Brush or comb hair with a wide tooth comb before shampooing, starting from bottom to top. This will help avoid tangling.
2. If you have product on your lace, properly & gently remove product using rubbing alcohol. Use dawn dish soap to remove left over product, brushing with a small toothbrush like tool. Make sure you comb hair on lace to avoid matting.
3. Be sure to use a moisturizing formula shampoo. The more that a shampoo moisturizes, the better it will be for your hair. Wash with hot water. (Dove intensive shampoo and conditioner suggested) Do not soak for long time.
4. If and ONLY if hair is oily or smell due to your environment use a clarifying shampoo, prior to using moisturizing shampoo.
5. It is not a good idea to wash hair if it is glued or clipped in along with your natural hair. These should be removed separately.
6. Condition hair letting sit for 10-15 mins before rinsing using cold/cool water.
7. Towel blot, comb hair thoroughly, be careful with closure of frontal. Best to pull lace back in position before drying. If sewed in, it is best to sit under a hooded dryer to completely dry the roots, so mildew and an unpleasant odor does not occur. If you do not have a hooded dryer, dry roots first before ends of bundles. Excessive drying can cause frizz.
8. Apply products when wet if needed. Use a heat protector when straightening. (When necessary use light weigh oil, dime size on hair starting with ends)
9. Do not wash your extensions every day. Just like your normal hair, they will become dry if you over-wash them. When hair isn't oily, and you want a quick refresh, give a gentle rinse and use conditioner.
10. Sleep with silk or bonnet
11. Curly/Wavy hair should be moisturized and DE-tangled daily. When shampooed & condition let air dry, only drying roots if sewed in, by sitting under hooded dryer. Finger Comb texture hair or use wide tooth comb. DO NOT brush or comb when dry!!!! Twist hair before bed. Curl define fine products, leave in conditioner or coconut oil is good to hydrate curls.
Wigs/Units- Same process can be used......
- Never put the conditioner in the root of the hair since it will damage the knots of the wig.
- Drying: Gently blot and press the hair with a soft towel to remove excess water. Avoid wringing or twisting; Do not blow dry the wig, comb unit in desired style and let air dry (overnight). Air Drying hair helps controls frizz and less heat damage. (Purchase a Lavish Queen storage bag to safely store your unit).
- AVOID OVER BLEACHING AND PLUCKING KNOTS. YOU MAY OVER PROCESS CAUSING IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE.
SHAMPOOING BUNDLES after install.
Remove thread from wefts
Brush/Comb before washing
Separate by lengths using a hair-tie to hold together
Apply cleansing shampoo on wefts as well as bundles. Working in to remove any impurities such as oil and dirt.
